Monica Dogra is an Indian origin, American musician, and actress. She is known for her Bollywood debut role as Shai in the film Dhobi Ghat. She was seen alongside Aamir Khan and Prateik Babbar in the film.

Born on October 25, 1982, Monica has also starred in the films like Fireflies, David, Teraa Surroor and many others. She is currently serving as one of the judges of the show The Stage alongside Vishal Dadlani.

Monica used to work as a bartender in her college days. In 2005, she launched her electronic rock group Shaa’ir+Func along with Randolph Correia, a guitarist. Their first album New Day: The Love ALbum was released in 2007. Thereafter, they released Light Tribein 2008 and Mantis in 2010.

in 2010, she sang a song Dooriyan Bhi Hai Zaroori for Bollywood movie Break Ke Baadalongside Vishal Dadlani.
