Messi's Defeat

When David Beckham was asked who has the chances of reaching the world cup finals, he said “I believe Argentina will play against England in the final.”

We guess, when Croatia heard his response, this was their reaction.

Messi's Defeat

How else can we justify this insane victory, it just took against Lionel Messi’s Argentina? It will take several weeks of therapy for Messi fans to get over this shocking defeat.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup has given us so many unpredictable moments so far, we are now hoping for someone to say “Guys we were joking, this was just a drill; the main event will start soon.”  Or maybe, this World Cup will be owned by all the underdogs.

Messi's Defeat

Talking about yesterday’s match between Croatia and Argentina, the result was as unexpected as Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’ entering the Rs. 100 crore club, despite getting so many negative reviews. Croatia took down Argentina by a score of 3-0 and we don’t know whom to credit or blame this victory for– Croatia’s brilliant form or Argentina’s poor team work.

Messi's Defeat

But, we have to applaud Croatia and their rocking ‘midfield show’. That was possibly one of the best highlights from the game, which worked miraculously in their favour. Ante Rebic, Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic took one goal each (a total of 3) and led the team towards victory. Croatia was in such a good form that Barcelona’s star Messi and his ‘blue and white striped’ boys couldn’t score a single goal against them.

Clearly, this was one of those golden moments for Ronaldo fans and Twitter to roast Messi. Being the savage platform that Twitter is, people trolled Messi to an extent where some even asked him to retire.
